The Mother Age
Documentary in development
From the barren coastline of Finnmark to the deep forests of Finland, The Mother Age searches for clues to shed light on an ancient theory that reaches back to the dawn of humanity. The filmmaker wants to challenge the idea that the knife was the first tool made by man, and embarks on a journey to find traces of the carrier bag. She seeks out people who leads her to the unprovable and insists on finding what can never be found. When she is told that the world's oldest fishing net was discovered in Karelia because it was in a bag, she travels to Eastern Finland. She doesn't get to see the net or the place where it was excavated, but she meets a woman who shows her the way to an unknown past where a magical universe appears.
