^{When kittiwake chicks fall out of their nests, their parents stop feeding and caring for them. Asfalt is the story about a bird that meets this fate, but which the artist decides to take home in order for it to survive. In the film, the viewer is allowed to follow how the little bird grows at a slow pace—an almost invisible change to the body that grows big enough to fly away from the camera’s field of vision.}
